Shopping centre Iso Omena, acquired by Citycon in 2007, is the company's largest and the most renowed shopping centre. Iso Omena is a prime-shopping centre and it offers also development possibilities. The centre enjoys an outstanding location now and in the future. It is situated in wealthy Matinkylä in southern Espoo. The excellent traffic connections of the area will improve further with the extension of the underground network to Espoo, with Matinkylä underground station planned for construction right next to the shopping centre. There are nearly 148,000 inhabitants in the shopping centre's catchment area.

Iso Omena's development potential is considerable - it can be expanded by some 5,000 - 7,000 square metres and its commercial concept can be further improved. Citycon initiated the shopping centre's refurbishment immediately after the acquisition and considers the centre one of its priorities among its properties under development.
